With 1 in 5 people in the United States covered by Medicaid, social workers should know the basics about the program. This workshop is intended for new social work professionals or social workers who are working with Medicaid for the first time. The workshop will cover the history and basics of Medicaid as well as who is potentially eligible for Medicaid in Texas and the benefits of the program. Advocacy for clients with Medicaid will also be reviewed as well the social justice issues surrounding Medicaid Expansion.

Please note: If licensed for other professions or other states, check with your state licensing agency for reciprocity and/or credit approval.
