This session will provide an update on trends across the U.S. in alcohol, heroin, prescription opiods, including the “super potent” opioids on the street, and new pharmacologic treatments for opioids and alcohol, cocaine, codeine cough syrup, and cannabis, including legal marijuana. A brief scan of the drug situation on the Texas-Mexico border will also be included.
